10 + Best Café in Tamraght for Digital Nomads: Our No-BS Guide
We tested every laptop-friendly café in Tamraght for a week—from Surf & Friends’ reliable WiFi to Zawya’s offline charm. This guide reveals where digital nomads actually work, which spots have the best coffee, and why Tamraght’s café scene beats Taghazout for remote workers on Morocco’s Atlantic coast.
If you’re on the hunt for the best cafe in Tamraght, let’s skip the sugarcoating. We spent a week bouncing between every laptop-friendly cafe in Tamraght, fueled by too much coffee and a healthy dose of scepticism.
Whether you’re a digital nomad, a remote worker, or just someone who needs WiFi and a flat white, Tamraght’s café scene surprised us—in all the right ways.
From the cosy corners perfect for deep work to the buzzing Tamraght digital nomads cafe where you’ll actually meet people, we found the real spots worth your time (and your dirhams). Here’s our honest take.

Why did we end up in Tamraght? (and not Taghazout)
Let’s be honest—Tamraght wasn’t even on our radar when we first mapped out the trip to Morocco. We pictured a sleepy surf village, maybe a few dusty cafés, and not much else. But after a few days in Agadir’s resort bubble, we craved something with a pulse. Tamraght delivered, and exceeded our expectations.
We rolled in with backpacks, zero expectations, and a desperate need for strong WiFi (and stronger coffee). But also, nice vibes, a chilled atmosphere, not pretentious, and budget-friendly.
What did we find? A town with real grit, a digital nomad scene that’s actually friendly, and enough café-hopping to keep our caffeine levels dangerously high.

Our hunt for the Best Café in Tamraght
We spent a week living, working, and eating our way through Tamraght’s café scene. Some spots were digital nomad goldmines. Others? More relaxing and chilled, perfect for a Moroccan tea and meeting friends. Here’s what actually worked for us.

Surf & Friends Café
Best for: WiFi, lattes, and meeting actual humans.
This was our unofficial HQ. The WiFi didn’t drop once (miracle in small villages like this), the lattes were legit, and the crowd was a rotating cast of digital nomads, backpackers, and the occasional dogs and cats.
Surf and Friends is now our first recommendation for friends, digital nomads Morocco. Need surf lessons? Yoga? A place to charge your laptop and your soul? Start here. You can pay cards, have a couple of good productive hours of work (Plenty of power sockets) and make friends to live adventures around.
Note: They also run a hostel and co-living next to it – Surf and Friends Lodge. Most of the customers were coming from there. Looking at the reviews is one of the best places to stay in Tamraght for Digital Nomads. Their rooftop pool is incredible, with a stunning view. Check if prices match your budget.

The Laundry Coffee & Stuff
The new kid in town is Laundry Coffee, altought we haven’t visited it yet, we monitor the coffee scene in Tamraght close for our return. The Laundry Coffee & Stuff has all 5-stars reviews on google, which means a lot.
Their flat white looks so good, and I am looking forward to try their home-made brownies. Opened up by Charlotte + Youssef, I love the minimal design of their cup. New wanna go place for us!
Nafas Coffee Shop
A new addition to the Tamraght coffee scene. Every day we were in Tamraght, it was always busy and vibrant. The shop is quite small, but cosy. Coffee is regularly priced, and there are both strong wi-fi and power plugs.
Nafas Coffee Shop is tucked away from other cafes, on top of the hill. We passed by several times, as it was behind our accommodation – Black Pearl Surf House – There were cute poppies playing around, making the atmosphere welcoming.
Hey Yallah
Best for: Community vibes, creative events, and artisan coffee
Next up in our list is Hey Yallah. Here is where Tamraght’s digital nomads and creatives actually hang out. Think minimalist decor, barista-style coffee, and a steady stream of workshops and pop-up markets.
Usually in the high season, on Sundays, it gets lively with DJs. When it’s quiet, it’s a solid spot to work. Their Instagram page is active with events and activities going on. No Laptop policy in this place, but don’t let it put you off.

Playa Surf House Restaurant and Cafe
Playa Surf House & Café quickly became our go-to for a midday work sprint and a solid lunch. It’s always buzzing—expect a lively crowd of digital nomads, surfers, and locals.
To be fair, not our favourite, but still good to have a go every now and then. The WiFi held up even when the place was packed, and we never felt rushed by the friendly staff. Our favourite? The chicken sandwich—tasty, filling, and fairly priced.
Coffee’s strong enough to keep you going, too. It’s not the quietest spot for deep focus, but if you want a social, laptop-friendly café with good food and a real Tamraght vibe, this is the place. Just be ready to wait for a table during peak hours.
Le Acai Cafe
You’ll venture here because it’s one of the top rated cafes in Tamraght by Google Map. This small establishment serves coffee, traditional local food, and smoothie bowls.
Don’t expect much of a buzz; people here come and go, and not many bring their laptops. It’s the perfect spot to chill out, make friends, and then head to the beach.

Let’s be healing food
This healthy heaven in Tamraght is the trendy spot. We aren’t into vegan, veggie or healthy drinks, but saw many people around. Good WiFi, but gets busy at brunch. To be fair, it is expensive, but the food looks great. Superfood smoothies, Buddha bowls, and the most Instagrammable pancakes in town.
While you can have a classic coffee, you can also pair it with Turmeric, Chai or Organic Rose Latte. If you are hungry, you must try the double trouble toast (Smashed avocado, fruit toast with Amlou). Also, the Blue Moon smoothie looks like one of the popular ones here.
Mish Mish
We wandered a lot about a Matcha place, almost thinking to open a new business. Well, we aren’t sure where we’ll settle in besides London, so quickly passed from our mind. While walking we found Mish Mish and guess what? They serve matcha, and in different variations, even Matcha French Toast.
It’s very expensive to be fair, so we didn’t get that. While their coffees and preparations are made for instagram photos, isn’t the best place to work, but to socialize yes. So take it as a Digital Nomad experience more than a deep working session.

Zawya Coffee Shop
Zawya Coffee Shop isn’t the usual digital Nomads hotspot with everyone on their laptops. Instead is a good place to be offline for a bit, indulge in a classic Moroccan tea with mint, and chat with strangers. The shop is in what we identify as the upcoming Tamraght.
It’s in a more developed area than where we stayed. It’s one of the most instagrammable cafes in Tamraght. The signature is the flower tree right at the entrance, and the quirky door with vintage cameras, baseball caps and postcards. The friendly cat sat on Ale’s lap for a long time before she could drink her tea.
In a moment, it shifted from being our sole customers to a group of surfers from nearby hostels. It was a vibe. There is no wifi, limited plugs, but nice people. So, hang out here to make new friends.

Espresso lab
Easily one of our favourite coffee chains in Morocco. We found shops in Agadir, Casablanca and of course in Tamraght. It’s right in town, but you have to walk on the beautiful promenade toward Taghazout. The walk is amazing, especially at sunset, so bear this in mind.
Espresso Lab is in the square of Nouveau Corniche, Taghazout Bay. Surrounded by resorts and holiday houses, it’s always busy, but still great for a couple of hours of work by the sea. It’s just steps from the beach, so you can enjoy a great day out, walk around, and work.
Kasbari
Up on our list also a co-living with co-working terrace. Kasbari is perfect for digital nomads because it is where people actually come and stay for weeks. Facilities are laid-back, and even if you’re not staying here, you can come hang out for an event or get your laundry done.
In fact, the owners are friendly and allow you to stay on your laptop in the co-working space while waiting for the laundry. Prices to stay a week are competitive, perfect for budget travellers. // CHECK IT HERE!

The Runners-Up: Cafés worth a pit stop
Not every spot made our shortlist, but a few deserve a mention.
- Adam’s Café: It’s next to Let’s Be Healing. Family-run, leafy terrace, fibre optic WiFi. Great for a long lunch or a lazy work session. Bonus: their cappuccino comes with a mountain of chantilly cream.
- Le Petit Kawa: Although it wasn’t our favourite for food, many people hang out here with their laptops. Locals and digital nomads mingle here. Strong Moroccan coffee, fresh juices, and the classic ‘ns ns’ (half coffee, half milk). Perfect for a pre-surf breakfast or afternoon people-watching.
- Happy Tamraght: With a very nice outdoor area and great crepes, this is one of the trendiest spots in Tamraght. It’s not perfect for work, but it’s great for hanging out.

What We Loved (and What We’d Skip)
Wins:
- The digital nomad scene is real, but not overwhelming. We made friends, swapped travel hacks, and actually got work done.
- Café-hopping is a thing. Try every spot once, then pick your favorite and become a regular.
- Prices are fair—lattes for 30 dirhams, sandwiches for 35–50. You won’t break the bank.
Fails:
- The town isn’t fully developed, and there is a lot of dust, but this adds to the character.
- Some cafés (looking at you, Manzili Coffee & Workspace) looked cute but weren’t perfect for us. So we checked out, and it didn’t spark the feeling.
- The main road is dusty and busy. Don’t expect a postcard-perfect town—embrace the chaos.
Our Honest Take: Where Should You Actually Work?
If you’re in Tamraght for a week or so, Surf & Friends Café is our top pick for digital nomads. The WiFi is reliable, the coffee is strong, and the vibe is just right for getting things done without feeling like you’re in a library. Hey Yallah is a close second, especially if you want to network or catch a creative event.
If you want to mix work with a side of sunshine and shopping, Daydream is your spot. For foodies, Let’s Be Healing Food and Le Petit Kawa are worth a visit, but you might have to fight for a table during peak hours.
