The View Hotel Agadir Review: Our Experience after a Beachfront Stay
We traded our backpacks for robes to see if The View Agadir lives up to the 5-star hype. Spoiler: The star anise welcome tea and sea-view balcony won us over. From the breakfast omelette station to the private beach loungers, here’s our unfiltered take on Agadir’s top beachfront splurge.
So, you’re wondering if The View Hotel Agadir is truly the best 5-star hotel in town? We landed in Agadir straight from a rainy European spring—aching for some North African sunshine, a big pool, a comfy bed, and (ideally) a little wow factor.
The View Hotel in Agadir checked all the boxes; it was the perfect kick start of our Morocco itinerary.
Our sea-view room with a balcony over Agadir Medina was simply perfect. We were right on the promenade. This is our honest review of Agadir The View hotel, and what you should know before booking.

Is The View Agadir Hotel Worth It?
Absolutely. If you’re after 5-star comfort, direct beach access, and hotel staff who actually care if you’re happy, The View Agadir delivers.
We paid more than we would at a riad, but the location, knockout breakfast, plush rooms, and little luxuries (think: private loungers, spa, and that epic sea-view balcony) made it worth the splurge. Not the spot for bargain hunters or deep cultural dives—but for an effortless, pampered start to a Morocco trip? We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

First Impressions
It’s fancy, it’s beautiful, and the entrance is already a statement to this place. We took a taxi from Agadir’s small airport for just 50dh. It stopped us right in front of the entrance of the hotel.
We were hit by that classic Atlantic wind and a salty, maybe slightly fishy, breeze. The hotel’s sleek lobby and staff impressed us. Not the typical Moroccan style, but more polished, like other great hotels in the Middle East. Yes, it reminds us a bit of the 25hours hotel in Dubai.
We were checked in swiftly—an actual Moroccan welcome tray with dried fruit, proper tea (their blend is punched up with star anise and liquorice, honestly, it’s wild).

Location: Right on the promenade, not far from the souk
To be fair, we did our due diligence and checked for the position before booking. However, we were quite impressed by the location. The hotel is right on the promenade in a prime location. We were just a pleasant walk away from the Belvedere Garden.
We had a nice walk at sunset until the glamorous Marina Agadir (we suggest checking out coffee places there). Instead of a pinch of real Morocco, head to the souk, which is just a short ride away by taxi (price: 20 dh).
Taxis cluster right outside, and the airport is about 30 minutes—not bad on a good traffic day. If your ideal vacation in Agadir is to enjoy the hotel facilities and the sea, good to know that the beach is right at your feet. You don’t need to walk far, and the hotel features a private beach for guests. So feel free to wear your bikini there.

Our Room: Luxury, a pinch of Morocco and real comfort
We’ve slept in all manner of beds on this trip, but the one at the View is by far one of the most comfortable. The rooms feature King-size beds, which is rare for Morocco. Most of the accommodations we stayed at feature French Queen Size beds; small if you love to roll into that.
That’s not the only feature we loved; we also appreciated the design. Well, we had this Signature Suite, which had a separate lounge area, with a corner balcony and unparalleled view. AirCon worked perfectly, and the curtains were optimal to get that blackout feeling. Yep, we slept like babies because everything was tough to relax completely.
A few things we loved:
- Sea-view balcony: Grab a drink, watch the city’s giant “Agadir” letters light up on the mountainside each night. It feels weirdly romantic, even if you’re just eating complimentary dry fruit in your bathrobe.
- Living-room nook: Actually useful, especially when you don’t feel like taking a walk and want to enjoy the view at sunset. Cup of coffee in my hand, and everything was like we imagined our first few days in Morocco.
- Huge walk-in shower: Power and temperature were perfect. There is enough space to avoid bumping your elbows everywhere.
Rooms at the View Hotel Agadir
The View Deluxe King: Sleek design, the balcony offers 3 different views (pool, Garden, Ocean) that vary in price. Cost per night starting from £220.
Junior Suite: Extra spacious, with a Garden view. Prices from £300 per night.
Deluxe and Signature Suite: This is the real deal. There are actually two rooms: a day area and a night zone. You’ll love the lounge, featuring a table, big screen, and balcony. Prices are higher but worth it, starting from £350 per night.
Signature Suite: The one we had, spacious, with a lot of light and fancy. Prices from £400 per night

Food and Drink, including breakfast
The hotel went above and beyond in this. The property is built in such a way that you don’t need to go elsewhere for lunch or dinner. Within the hotel complex, there are six restaurants and bars. For a fun night right next door, there is the Buddha Bar (we went there, keep reading for our experience).
We didn’t soak much into breakfast as we usually do, but there was a long entire room waiting for guests. Early in the morning, from 7, they start preparing fresh omelettes, croissants, and more.
I would have loved to have a coffee machine to make coffee by myself, but I was fine with asking the waiter every time. Poor him, I ask for at least two coffees for breakfast.
Three restaurants really impressed us:
La Sensya: A Michelin Star Italian chef – Francesco Franzese – is on site, preparing delicious meals for customers enjoying the classic Amalfi Coast vibes under a pergola.
Mima Kitchen: It’s a classic Moroccan restaurant, vibrant and romantic. You can either stay inside to enjoy live music or take in the breeze at the outdoor tables.
Poolside Aperitif: This secluded area by the promenade offers an interesting aperitif at sunset for guests.

Buddha Bar Agadir: Nightlife, Sushi, and a Show
We had to dedicate one full section to the Buddha Bar Agadir. On our second night in Agadir, we checked out the Buddha Bar Dinner Show, located right next door to The View Hotel.
Honestly, it blew us away. We landed coveted front-row seats, eating fresh sushi (seriously, some of the best tuna and prawns we’ve ever had). Once the performances began—music, fire acts, drums, dancers—the whole vibe felt more Bangkok than Morocco, with a massive Buddha statue setting the mood.
By an hour in, the place was full, people were actually dancing, and the staff kept everything slick. A casual smart dress code is a must; this is a fancy, fun, and absolutely. Within a few steps after the dinner show, we were back in our room. That’s definitely one of the add-ons and best memories of a swift resort vacation in Agadir.

Pool and Beach: The real reason to stay
We didn’t go to the beach as we initially thought. There were always lounges available, waiting for us, and a tropical atmosphere that allowed us to stop and relax. There is one huge pool in the centre of the property.
Perfectly lined sunbeds with towels rolled up, accompanied by table service for drinks. I’m not sure if it’s intentional, but the layout creates small bays, where everyone has their own private space.

We went to the Spa
Admittedly, we didn’t shell out for the hammam or massage this time around. But I enjoyed a couple of hours in the indoor pool.
One of them was still under renovation, and explained the concept of creating a perfect environment to chill, even check your emails, without disturbance.
I personally took advantage of the warm pool, got a classic star anise tea (branded by The View) and totally relaxed. Well, while Ale was having her part too. She went to the stylist for a hair and scalp treatment.
Service and facilities at the view
I know that the service itself, most of the time, constitutes half of the positivity of your stay. The staff are relentless in their hospitality—smiles are on tap, and extra towels are delivered at lightning speed. Regarding the facilities, there are so many, but we really indulge in a couple of them.
Slow-paced yoga class
Between the unspoken services, there are many opportunities to embrace the slow pace fully. As Digital Nomads, we often seek complete moments of disconnection from our online duties to recharge, slow down, and completely shut off the urgency to meet deadlines.
The View Hotel Agadir invited us to a complimentary Yoga Session, exclusive to residents. Without saying, it was a quiet moment, within the garden and the peace of the poolside. As we were a few metres from the beach, you could feel the breeze, and maybe the ocean washing the shore.

Calm and Quiet
We want to highlight one point that is often overlooked in other reviews. While there, we noticed that even though restaurants are abundant, the fun Buddha Bar next door, once the windows were closed, was completely silent. Strange, isn’t it?
Well, rooms are well soundproofed, so even though our room had a direct view over the promenade, we couldn’t hear a thing, even when standing outside the balcony.

The Gym
You might want to stay fit, or the gym pace you. Well, we spent a few hours within the gym facilities at the View hotel. The open view over the pool and gardens was the perfect spot for some cardio.
Actually, that treadmill was one of the most advanced I’ve seen in a long time. I could log my favourite YouTube series and watch it (not just listen) while on gym duty. The ambience is quiet, calm, and has everything you need, including complimentary water and towels.

The lounge
To be fair, not many were there at all times, which, in some ways, felt a miss, while in others, I was glad for it. We sat with our laptops and took advantage of the high-speed Wi-Fi (not usual for Morocco – we used e-SIM most of the time).
The design is minimal yet full of light, and it comes with plenty of plugs to keep us charged at all times. There are actually two areas to carry out your work, one on the ground floor by the garden, and another on the first floor by the reception.
Both had a bar area with table service. So order your Moroccan tea and get a couple of hours of productivity boost.

Would we stay at the View Hotel in Agadir again?
Totally. Agadir is a resort town, and many visitors to Morocco fly directly to this city from the UK. If you want Agadir relaxation with a sprinkle of 5-star shine and a sea breeze strong enough to untangle your European knots, The View is a safe bet.
As a couple, we loved staying at the View Hotel Agadir; it was one of the most relaxing places we’ve stayed in recent years. We highly recommend this unique hotel/resort to young couples seeking a special break within a short haul from the UK.
But it’s not for culture chasers or bargain hunters. It’s a resort in every sense—so lean into it, order that unnecessary dessert at breakfast, and don’t expect too much “old Morocco” from the doorstep.
Would we book again? For those first, slightly groggy post-flight days—absolutely.
